We are so glad to have Luke and Becca Perkins with us once again. We’ve had a great time catching up since seeing each other last summer, enjoying a lot of laughs and special moments together. They are enjoying seeing friends here they haven’t seen for awhile, enjoying Haiti’s warm weather and good Haitian food! We know the Chapel will be in very good hands as we leave and they oversee the Chapel until the next pastor begins August 1st.

Last Friday Karl and Luke went to meet with a group of pastors in Port au Prince who have requested Karl to teach a seminar similar to what he taught last February. The pastors asked good questions and plans were made for Karl to begin in September. Karl has also been reviewing a variety of materials to possibly use as well.

Yesterday was our last ‘official’ Sunday as pastors of Quisqueya Chapel – a day of mixed feelings to be sure. It was also election day in Haiti so we weren’t sure how many people would be able to come, but many did. Karl preached a very timely message on ‘passing the mantle,’ giving examples of Moses and Joshua, Elijah and Elisha, and Jesus with Peter, the music was wonderful, and at the end of the service we were blessed with kindness and prayer with tears and laughter as we celebrated together His plans being fulfilled for us and for the Chapel.
